On Tues, October 20th a group of beekeepers met to begin organizing a beekeeping association for our area.   Our goal is to promote beekeeping in the Tri county/River region by both teaching the fundamentals of beekeeping and by encouraging the exchange of information about honeybees.    At this meeting we did select Central Alabama Beekeepers Association as the groups' name.  The first Thursday of the month was chosen as the day for regularly scheduled meetings, with 6pm as our meeting time.

Meetings will be held at Heritage Baptist Church 1849 Perry Hill Road.   From the I-85/ Perry Hill Road it is less than 1/2 mile south, turn left (east) at the light at Cairsbrook Drive and enter at the churches north parking lot.    We will meet in the Senior adult classroom just inside the Family Life Center.    Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
