Current Limestone County Beekeepers Association projects.

COMMUNITY EXTRACTING STATION

The Limestone County Beekeepers Association's latest project is a mobile extracting station that any member can use at their own bee yard or any other selected location.    The equipment shown to the left has been procured and is on hand waiting for the enclosed trailer in which it will be permanently mounted.

The trailer has been located and funds appropriated for it's purchase.

Once received and renovated as/if necessary this equipment will be permanent mounted and the mobile unit will available to all LCBA members.

The Limestone County Beekeepers Association received a grant from Alabama Mountains, Rivers, and Valleys RC& D Council. The picture is the equipment purchased with the grant monies.   Members in the above picture, from left to right are, Jeff Lee, President; Doug Raney, Vice-President; Marylou Beck, Sectary-Treasurer, Tom McDaniel,  member Board of Directors and Lionel Evans, Executive Director.

We are most appreciative for this grant which will be a major contributor to our on going project of educating the FFA and all other students as well as the public on the problems and benefits of honey bees.

The LCBA does presentations for North Alabama schools.    If we have not been to your north Alabama school and you would like to have us talk to your students click here.    If we have been to your school and you would like to have us back, click here.

Thanks for dropping by our Webpage and remember, you are always welcome to drop by our next regular scheduled meeting.
